Papertake weekly, a scrummy sketch by Dawny p.

Papertake weekly

have a delish sketch to follow that has been designed by the lovely Dawny p.

I needed to make a card for a lovely lady that hasn't been feeling too well lately. even though she has been so poorly she still managed to send me a most beautiful card.. thank you sweetie, i really appreciated it xx (she knows who she  is)

know i have said in previous posts about my picture taking at the mo... it is driving me insane!!!! grrrr, so i have added one picture of the card in the window and another one that i took in the photo tent.. i really think that i need to start reading those photography books that i bought a while back...... *sigh*

This is the one taken on the sill, now this would work but with our rate of sunshine this isn't going to be practical especially as this room is at the back of the house and it doesn't get much sunlight through the windows... streaming sunlight that is....

This is the same card but taken in the photo tent... ... just doesn't look right to me..(a bit flat) but hey ho..

right then.. onto the stuff that i used, again this is a imge that i coloured a while ago and stuck in my folder for future cards. without copic colours added. sorry.

the papers that i used are by basicgrey and are from the Ambrosia 6x6 paper pad. I chose them because of the butterflies. talking of which the embossed metal butterfly's that i have used on this card are by making memories, i got a real bargain with these from my local shop as there was a whole bundle of them (pack of 6) for sale for just £2.99, so i whipped those into my basket.. :) and i am glad that i did....

I have used a Martha Stewart punch for both the branches and the doily strips. the flowers are from wild orchid crafts, which are delish and great value for money..  the sentiment is a maya road sentiment that i have stamped onto a quickutz tag. other than the odd bit of stickles glue here and there i think thats about it.. except for the image which is a sweetpea stamp.. not sure of which one... i am absolutely hopeless with names.

i made a matching envelope to go with this card again the tag is from a quickutz cookie cutter i think that is what they are called. and the rest of the stuff is the same as what i used on the card... I have been asked by a few about my envelopes.. no they arn't boxes as they open the same as an envelope and i got the template for these from a very clever lady .... you can pop over and get one for yourselves from here... there are a few different style envelopes.. this one that i have used is the basic 6x6. .

Thank you for dropping by and for the lovely comments that i have received.

big hugs Rachxx
