All of the girls on the Whiff of Joy Design team (list in my sidebar) were all given this image early so we could have a play… personally i think that Henry dressed up in his spiderman outfit is FANTASTIC!!! a really cool image…

I coloured Henry in with copics using the following colours.

well here the card that i created with Henry … I printed him out on neenah paper using my hp color laser jet printer…

The papers that i used are a bit of a mish mosh… there is Basic grey cup cake and another basic grey paper Eerie… spiders web, My minds eye ginger bread lane (yes this is a Christmas paper lol)

I have added some ribbon and a button from my stash.. a few self adhesive pearls and a star that i cut out of grunge board using my sizzix die and then i went on to paint it in red distress paint and then edged with white picket fence distress paint.. wrapped around some silver elasticized stuff and added the happy birthday… and that’s it.. :)

one image two cards!

oh my good afternoon!! I had all intentions of posting these cards this morning but time has just got the better of me today. I have spent most of the day in the kitchen cooking.. my back is killing me now.. phew!! anyway enough of that…:)

I have made two cards using the one image from whiff of joy stamps from the get well collection…this is “little nurse”

both cards have the same layout, just different colours, one is reddy pinks and the other blue and brown..

both image have been coloured with copic sketch markers on Neenah card.

This is the blue and brown colour ways… the papers are by my minds eye wild asparagus and the flowers are from wild orchid crafts, punch for the leaves is Martha Stewart.

i have also gone around each matt with the sewing machine.

the image little nurse is from whiff of joy stamps.

This is the red version, these papers are stampin up.. otherwise everything else is the same as the blue and brown card.

Good morning bloggers. :))

What a fantastic few days of sunshine we have had… a little overcast this morning but still mustn’t grumble… hope that you all have had a fabulous weekend…mine.. well we spent 5hrs Saturday on the bikes and my shoulders were a nice shade of red!! they are fine now.

I Have had a looksie round the blog challenges this morning to see if i can fit my card into one of them.. and yay…. this card that i have made using one of the images from the may store stamp kit Aladdin 1001 nights from whiff of joy stamps works with this weeks

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge of swirls and pearls...

The swirls aren’t massive ones i grant you but they are swirls none the less…. :) i masked of the bottom half of the sentiment to stamp the swirls on their own around my image. (the sentiment is also in the store kit)

The image is coloured with copic markers.

The little black self adhesive pearls are by papermania, i bought these from the range a while ago now.. me being me bought multiples….lol; same with the doily’s these i bought about 2yrs ago at some craft fair…

papers used are T!m Holtz shabby vintage

I have made another shrink charm with one of the accesory stamps that comes with the kit.

flowers are all from wild orchid crafts, with some added stickles…

oooooh the sun is just peeking out from behind the clouds… off to pop some washing on the line and get Tom to work… hope to catch you all later…. time willing.

today’s card is one that i have made using one of the images from the whiff of joy stamps store stamp kit…#2 which has been illustrated by Elisabeth Bell and is only available to buy from selected stores…if you click here there is a list of stores that should be stocking the kit..

There are some gorgeous images on this plate along with some fantastic sentiments and accessory stamps.

for this image i have used the following copic colours.

and then i added some stickles for some bling..

I have used three of the stamps on this card.. the sentiment the main image and also an accessory stamp which i stamped onto shrink plastic and made into a charm…

The papers that i have used are magnolia and i have brushed the edges with some distress paint.. i pushed the tim hotz ticket through the crimper… looks pretty cool.

The flower is a mixture of prima and the rose from wild orchid crafts.. they are just layered on top of each other with some Martha Stewart punched branches to finish.

has a fab sketch for us to follow this week… well they do every week… but i don’t always have the time to join in :(( i have this week though.. :))

I have used wee with broken leg from whiff of joy stamps for my card today… this cute stamp also comes with two sentiments…(not the one that i have used though :P)

I have used basic grey papers from the wisteria pap for this card along with some buttons and crafters floss.. the buttons are basic grey i think….. well they look like them anyway.. :P

the sentiment is also from whiff of joy stamps from one of the other stamps from the get well collection.. called henry with broken leg

whiff of joy challenge #78

This is a card that i made following the fabby sketch that the girls over at the

whiff of joy challenge blog

have for us to follow… they are now setting challenges every two weeks so  there is plenty of time to join in with the fun…. :)

for my card i used the clown from the get well collection at whiff of joy stamps… now i am not a huge lover of  clowns myself but this one kinda grew on me as i coloured him…. and just look at that cutie peeking out from his bag… adorable.. Though this image has been designed  as a get well image.. (it even comes with it’s own sentiment stamp… how cool!) I think that it works brilliantly for a birthday card.

the papers that i have used for this card is called 365 degrees and i bought these from the hobby house at one of the shows… the company is pinkpaislee.

I used a couple of different Martha Stewart punches and a sentiment stamp from catslife press along with a few of tims stuff… the swirl.. which is from the flourish die and the ticket.. i glittered the swirl up .. :)

for the whiff of joy image i used the out of bounds nestie technique… i use a big shot for this so don’t get any embossing marks, i don’t know what it is like using other brands of machines.. :)

The clown has been coloured using copic sketch markers..  I even tried the feather blending technique on his hair and was well pleased with how it turned out..

I was asked which chiropractor i go to.. it is ridgeway medi -spa in swindon.. takes me an hour to get there.. :(  but i am a funny devil.. have to feel at ease at places else i won’t go… i am a whittle worry if you hadn’t already guessed… hahaha

Feeling better in the morning

good morning. a quick post from me before i set off again on my jaunt up the duel carriageway to the chiropractors..sigh…

I made this card this morning using the sweet image from whiff of joy stamps called feeling better in the morning..  the sentiment is also from whiff of joy stamps but is from another get well stamp.. :)

I have usd some papers from the sugared pad from basic grey for this card and used another of my Martha Stewart around the page punches for one of the card mats.. Little wee illustrated by Norma fickle has been coloured with copic sketch markers…. (the pink is a little brighter than what i usually use.. :)

I have a spare one of this stamp to give away as candy soon so keep an eye out for that… ;) thank you Katharina..mwah.

whiff of joy notelet set

I have made a little note set to show how versatile this  miniature cutie is that the sweet Katharina gave me in a gorgeous goodie bag at the BSSS … thank you honey.. 

I made six little cards with a matching box. I made the mini notelets using a nestie die and then layered up some card and Magnolia papers.. finishing with the image , i used a Martha Stewart around the edge punch around the image. and coloured the sweetie of an image in with copic markers..

Just for fun

I made this card using one of my new Hanglar and Stanglar stamps, just couldn’t wait to ink her up… :) i have been asked where i get these stamps from..

Hanglar and Stanglar have started selling to the u.k through ebay… here…. this is the link to their ebay shop…(there is nothing on there at the moment) but.. you have to be quick because as soon as these babies are listed they seem to sell really quickly…  so keep an eye out for the listings and jump in there… lol.

I have used some papers that i had in my scrap draw for this sweetie, and the flowers are a combo of handmade and bought, the handmade ones are the peachy coloured ones. i made these using the sizzix 3d rose die… and the creamy white on is from wild orchid crafts. i cut the happy birthday sentiment out using a stamping up word window punch.

Just a note to wish you well.

This card uses the image called nighttime teddy by meljen designs.. what a cutie he is… love his wrinkly socks..:) I have used vintage shabby papers by T!M Holtz for this card paired with brown and red card stock..  this sentiment is from whimsy stamps. i have sewn around the edges of the papers using my sewing machine and i have also added some sparkle in place with stickles glue..  If my memory serves me right the brad is we are memory keepers.. but don’t hold me to that as they now live in a glass jar with out packaging.. lol…

sketch saturday...stampin for the weekend.

There is a wonderful sketch over at sketch saturday  and a theme of card for a male over on stamping for the weekend that fits my card for today. :)

I have used one of my sweet Hanglar & stanglar images for this card, coloured with distress inks.. the papers are christmas papers by fancy pants designs.. sentiment stamp is cats life press .. border punch is martha stewart and the buttons are from my button jar.. i think that they are basic grey ones though.

This week over at A spoon full of sugar the theme is Furry Friends

This adorable image is by meljen designs, and is called sew country bunny… i just adore Melanie’s syle of drawing.  The design papers are T!m Holtz vintage shabby which i have chucked under the sewing machine’s needle.. :) the sentiment is also  a digi and is from whimsy stamps..

I even had a play with Jane’s……. button tutorial that she posted over on the whiff of joy inspiration blog, these were great fun to make and so easy.. thank you Jane x

Just Magnolia challenge....It takes two Daring cardmakers..... emerald

Hiya all, This weeks challenge over at the just Magnolia challenge is It takes two…  what the girls want is for you to use more than one magnolia image on your card… also it is there special monthly challenge which is sponsored by simon says stamp… and i can also enter this into the daring cardmakers where they want to see emerald on your card..

I am either being very brave or very stupid… don’t look too close at my mistakes….lol. i haven’t coloured with my distress inks for and age!!! i even was beginning to wonder if i still could colour with them… i am really pleased with how these cute frogs turned out.. but boy it takes me an age to colour with these compared to my copics… but i did find it really relaxing and really enjoyed myself… :)

This card isn’t fussy i didn’t really know what to add to it, i wanted a arrow pointing to the larger frog… but couldn’t get it to work right… so i left it off…  the images that i have used on the card are the large and small frog ,. the sentiment is also magnolia as is the dp. the card strip is coredination cardstock run through a cuttlebug embossing folder.. the flowers have been made using shrink plastic following janes tutorial over at the whiff of joy inspiration blog.. there is a link to this in my sidebar…

I hope that you enjoy your weekend… i can’t believe how quickly it has come around again… Paul is off now until Tuesday so i may/may not be missing for a few days… i will be back to pick a winner for my candy though…

Sketch Saturday

good morning to you, hope that you are well.

i have a card made for today  following the sketch saturday sketch today. love the layout of this one thank you girls..

This image is a digital image that i downloaded from the greeting farm site. she is the autumn fairy…..though i haven’t coloured her in autumnal colours… I have added some glitter to her wings  but it isn’t showing too well on the picture.

These papers are by stampin up, i am trying to use up my scraps at the moment… which is an endless job, especially when i seem to keep reaching for a new fresh sheet of paper…lol..

the gems are prima swirls and the sentiment is from stampin up as well. i ran one of the pieces of card through a cuttlebug embossing folder for a bit more dimension..

A sweet little Princess tilda and her frog.

I have been a bit of a silly billy… i ordered some magnolia stamps from one place… forgot…. and re ordered them again somewhere else… what a doughnut…

anyway, this is one of the stamps that i have a duplicate of and was wondering if any of you lovlies would like to take her off of my hands…

Friday Sketchers

Hello, boy am i running behind today… have been to the chiropractors again today, same as yesterday and will be going again Friday.. i tell you i haven’t been out the house so much in ages!! my bones sound awful when they are being popped…. it doesn’t hurt though and i am even able to move my neck around a lot easier all ready.. I have a 12 week course to do split into 4 weekly sections… this first section is intensive…. that is why i am going three times a week to begin with.. .. then it will drop to two and then once a week…. hopefully my neck and back will be well on it’s way to being a lot better, just to keep it that way.. :)

I was intending on writing this post up last night so that i could post this morning, but didn’t get round to it.. but here it is now .. lol

I wanted to use the fabby sketch that is this weeks challenge over on Friday sketchers.

Using one of my Hanglar & Stanglar images , coloured with copic sketch markers on neenah solar white paper.

the sentiment stamps are cats life press. yay i remembered the name… makes a change..lol. they are a circle stamp but i just tucked half of it behind the image..

Just Magnolia challenge

hiya me again… Hope that those of you that had time off over the bank holiday weekend had a great time.. despite the miserable weather…

This card that I am posting today is for the Just Magnolia challenge blog, where Bev has designed a fabulous sketch for us to follow.. thanks honey..x

I have got to admit, though i love the sketch my brain just wasn’t in gear as this is the second attempt .. the first one went in the bin.

I have used some of the new magnolia papers fairy tale collection i think that is what it is called….no it isn’t it is called once upon a time… haha.. just checked… hehe. The band across the middle is from a Martha Stewart punch.. the pearls are prima and the flowers are from wild orchid crafts.. a bit of sewing and the card is finished..

Tilda has been coloured using copic sketch markers…..Which ones i don’t know as my post it note has gone walk a bout…. i just can’t win sometimes.. i do try to be organized but it doesn’t always happen.. lol.. enjoy the rest of your day, and thanks for dropping by.. hugz Rachxx

Hiya, thank you for all your wonderful comments that you left for Ben’s tag that he made. he was smiling from ear to ear.. he is so self conscious and critical when it comes to his things, he is the same way about his Art at school… always pulling it apart… he tells me that when i say it looks great that i am going to say that as i am his mum… :) so thank you so much as he was so happy…
