Whiff of joy Challenge #74, a sketch by Jane.

Whiff of joy challenge blog

have there new challenge up this week which is a sketch by Jane..and what a fabby one it is... Thank you sweetie, just what i needed to try and get these old mojo juices moving...

not sure why but it is taking me ages.. and i mean an age to make my cards... why??!? lol took me long enough before, but taking even longer now..

I seem to be struggling with pictures as well at the mo, when i use my light tent it doesn't look right since moving down here... mmmmm wonder if it is because i had dayllight tubes in the flourescent lighting in the loft........took this on the window sill in the end with the lamp above the card..... seems ok,, at least it's not washed out.. always a bonus.

I used a few new goodies on this card today... :) My new Tim Holtz vintage shabby papers dropped through the door today along with some other delish goodies.. which i bought from Craft obsessions.... perfect name for me... haha, look at the pic below.. and you'll understand why...

i don't buy in ones, had to get more ... just incase... incase of what i don't know.... major shortage i think.... rofl.. well they will last me a while i suppose.. hehe.

like i said i used some of the papers out of the vintage shabby stack and i also used the flower die on the card along with other flowers that i have bought from wild orchid crafts. The little ticket on the card is what i pinched off of my sons yesterday when they went bowling.. i just knew that they would come in handy....the tickets not the boys... hehe...  after going round the edges of the papers with the sewing machine i then went with some liquid pearls to add some dots here an there, got a bit carried away though. but i still like the end result. I have also added some pearls from prima, that i cut to make fit on the card, punched leaves are made using a martha stewart punch and i also used an embossing folder which i first wiped a ink pad over for contrast on the embossing on one of the panels. oh and some raffia lace...

The image that i have used is charlotte from whiff of joy stamps coloured with copics..

the colours that i used are

E.....0000 / 00 / 01 / 02 / 04 / 11 / 31 / 33 / 35

R..... 20 / 81 / 83 / 85 / 89

Y..... 21 / 23 / 26 /

W........ 1 / 3 / 5  / 7

It's a little quiet round here tonight as Hollie is spending the night at her friends... if you look on the picture above you may notice the little tilda... (minus hair) and another image... these are what Hollie coloured.. i said she could use my copics so she was well happy... well she was until she got to Tilda's hair.. which she said went wrong.... she had cut it off before i could say anything..  you can't see very well but for her first time using copics she got her blending done really well,, far better than when i first started using them... but i won't hold my breath as she gets bored with things so quickly. she says she likes the colouring but doesn't like making them into a card...

anyway, hope that you enjoy the rest of your evening, thank you for dropping by. hugs Rachxxx
